- Be sure to sweep off any fertilizer that gets on your concrete; fertilizers contain iron which will cause rust stains if left to get wet.

- De-icing products and rock salt will cause severe damage to the surface of your concrete; use plain kitty litter or sand for better traction in winter.

- Occasional re-application of a concrete sealer is recommended especially for outdoor concrete; the sealer will add luster, maintain color, and, help prevent stains and scratches.

- All concrete should be pre-cleaned and completely dry before applying a new coat of sealer.

- Hairline cracks in your concrete are normal; but, if the cracks open or change the surface level, they should be addressed immediately to prevent from undermining the structural integrity.
